Most women like to match their handbags with their shoes, especially high heels and sandals. You can choose from different wedge sandals, flat sandals, high heel sandals, Indian sandals and gladiator sandals. Or if you like flip flops, you can choose from printed, plain or leather ones.

So as you can see there are different kinds of fashion accessories. The choice is really big. As long as you're not afraid to play with you outfit, you can make a huge difference to it even with a small piece of accessory.

Remember the 1980s? Stadium Rock was the music of the day; Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan made up the dynamic duo on the world's political stage; and pastel colours combined with the "bigness" of fading '70s fads dominated the fashion in the Decade of Excess. Well friends, fashion and cultural trends are cyclical and like it or not, the '80s are back to some degree.

One of the best mediums to witness the resurgence in is fashion, most notably in the realm of t-shirts. The three staples of t-shirts in the '80s were bright colours, clever slogans, and caricatures. The colours began to quiet down with the turn into the '90s, but retailers are once again beginning to showcase neon green and pink, bright safety orange, stunning turquoise-blue, and fire-hot red. The colours that require sunglasses to look at.

Slogans and caricatures are back too. From "choose life" to Run DMC to the Transformers, it seems that anything '80s can be plastered on a t-shirt for you to announce to the world. Even the modern culture has embraced the '80 t-shirt genre, including that hip literary and film phenomenon known as Twilight.

Twilight t-shirts, hoodies, bags, and other accessories are currently a hot item at clothing stores in Europe, Asia, and the U.S. Driving the sales is a demographic which includes pre-teens, teens, and young adults enthralled with the story of Bella and Edward from the Twilight novel and film. Or perhaps, just maybe, the '80s will get bitten by a tracker and they'll emerge to live forever! Oh, let's hope not!

Fashion runway oops

was 30 years old and never modeled before but loved the idea of being a 'big girl' model. I never thought I would be a model, but as I grew older people would say, "You have such a nice face, if you lost a few pounds you could be a model". My first attempt at modeling was a fashion parade where I wore the wrong size dress and my belt fell off (oops) - not an encouraging start! Eventually I got the hang of it and went onto do loads of parades and photo shoots.

Being the only plus-size model in a sea of size 8s I called myself the 'Token Gesture Model'. The other models would strut their stuff on the catwalk and then race behind the scenes for a speedy outfit change. In comparison, my wardrobe options were limited and I was basically thrown to the wolves and told to just get out on the runway and make it back without too much fuss.

I might not have been a priority with the show organizers but my appearances were a crowd pleaser as the 'real people' in the audience excitedly saw a body shape that represented them striding before them. I may have been a lone ranger on the catwalk but their loud applause was rewarding encouragement. After the show ladies would meet me back stage to congratulate me for having the 'guts' to do such a huge thing - remembering that this happened 20 years ago. For ten years I modeled in everything from catwalk spectaculars to in store parades for major department stores such as David Jones and Myer.

After ten years of modeling I decided to I open my own agency catering exclusively to the plus-size modeling industry hence BIGgals Models, now known as BGM, was launched.

Clients contacted us through word of mouth and would-be models applied after reading about the agency in newspapers, magazines and an appearance on prime time television.

Our traditional dress is the shalwar kameez. This is good for all men, women and children of Pakistan. It is worn and is equally popular in all the provinces, cities and villages of Pakistan. The shalwar kameez holds equal importance in both ceremonial wear and casual wear. Women like to dress up in shalwar kameez most of the time and also during different ceremonies. Same holds true for men and children of the country.

Shalwar is like a loose pajama and is similar to the trousers. It is wide near the thighs and the waist. Near the bottom it is tapering. The kameez is a shirt and the seams of the shirt are kept open. The seams are open normally below waist line. This dress gives you great freedom of movement and is also very easy and simple to wear.

Then another important dress is the achkan. It has been the dress of nobles for long and is now worn extensively in Pakistan on different occasions, mostly ceremonial. Kurta is also an important traditional dress item. It is similar to a shirt but is quite loose in fitting. The length of the kurta goes up to the knees of the wearer. It can be worn with either jeans or a shalwar. The Kurta is also worn by women in many western countries. In Pakistan, kurta holds importance amongst both men and women. Different materials can be used to make a kurta and normally it is up to the wishes of the user that what style and material one wants to be used in one's kurta. Men also love to wear waist coats with the kurta and also with shalwar kameez. It gives a very tidy look to the dress.

The Alexander McQueen Fashion Shows That Transformed the World of Fashion

There are many examples of how Alexander McQueen's fashion ideas both revolutionized and shocked the world of fashion. All of McQueen's fashion shows made a display of extravagance and larger than life productions. The latter had earlier been used as props in previous fashion shows, but the props were this time turned into the show's centerpiece. Dressed in black and orange wearing hats that were actually umbrellas, his models also had their faces made up to look like harlequins.

The 2000, 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2009 fashion shows are just some of the most famous examples of how Alexander McQueen single-handedly transformed the world of fashion.

As we are writing the October issue of the Go Girl's Ezine, the New York City Fashion Week - Spring 2006 is underway in Bryant Park complete with runway shows and extravagant parties. According to NewYorkMetro.com, the new up and coming designers to watch are Miguel Pena, Doo Ri, Sue Stemp, Sari Gueron and a few more names sure to be seen in the fashion magazines.

Great! So the designers have already set the trends for spring and you aren't decked out for fall yet. Here are a few tips and trends for Fall 2005.

The Uptown Looks are chic with a nice price tag too:
For Men, Prada is the name of the game and for a different label try Burberry London or Calvin Klein Collection for suits. For women, it is silk all the way in 3.1 Philip Lim, Ferragamo, Rochas or Chloe. Add fur and cashmere to warm it up a bit.

Now what are the rest of us going to wear? First of all, find ways to recycle what you already have. If you followed our advice and have classic base pieces, then you should just add some trendy accessories. And in case I really do have to say it. UGGS are CASUAL. They are not the thing this season but if you must keep wearing them, do not pair them with anything more than casual clothes, and we mean CASUAL. Did everybody get that?

Ok so where were we? Yes, the fall trends.

1. Velvet has replaced corduroy as the winter fabric du jour.
2. Belted jackets, sweaters, and pants are in but be careful if you have large hips or bust. You can make yourself look event more top or bottom heavy.
3. Feminine and romantic are the two adjectives of the season (to a point). Ruffles on blouses seem to follow the rule of the bigger the better this season.
4. Vintage is still in and so are peasant skirts, tunics and knee-high boots.
5. Jewelry - chunky with large beads or polished stones or long strings hanging down nearly to the waist.
6. Layering - superlight knits in layers with the bottom layer extending beyond the top.
7. And on this last one, just remember we report on the trends. We don't set them. Fur and hides are back. Leopard prints are out but crocodile is in.

That's right Anne Hathaway wore 7 dresses to the Oscars 2011!! And for most that would mean the potential to choose 7 bad dresses but we think Anne Hathaway was the fashion star of the Oscars 2011 in all 7 of her dresses. Anne Hathaway stole the show in designs by Tom Ford which she closed the show in, Giorgio Armani Prive, Oscar De La Renta, Vivienne Westwood, Lanvin ( for her effortlessly chic tux) and Givenchy - basically Anne Hathaway's outfit changes were a who's who of designer royalty for the Academy Awards 2011. Take a look at Anne Hathaway in all her Oscar glory and our other favourite Celebs from Michelle Williams in Chanel, Jennifer Lawrence in her specially made dress designed by Calvin Klein designer Francisco Costa. Florence Welch stunned in a nude Valentino gown that suited the fiery red headed singer perfectly. With its vintage style and nude colourings the understated classic dress was the perfect choice for the Oscars red carpet. Halle Berry wowed the critics in her Marchesa gown with tulle skirt, it was a great choice for the actress and made a nice change from the usual variations of LBD she tends to wear to red carpet events. Hilary Swank looked delectable in her Gucci gown complete with feathers - the colour looked great and complimented the actresses figure and skin tone. These three lovely ladies rocked the red carpet at the Academy Awards in nude palettes.

Scarlett Johansson was well err Scarlett for the Oscars red carpet she wore a super fitted Dolce and Gabanna dress in the prettiest shades of scarlett - the dress looked uber chic and her tousled shorter hair balanced out the straight lines of the dress. Sandra Bullock was a lady in red at the Academy Awards in a gorge Vera Wang gown - the colour is shocking and with the red lippy to boot Sandra Bullock looks a demure style siren. Jennifer Lawrence looked red hot in her red dress made specially for her by Calvin Klein designer Francisci Costa. We don't know about you but were loving the red hot colours of these dresses from the Oscars 2011 - Which star is your fave here?

The hotly anticipated Black Swan star Natalie Portman opted for an off the shoulder dress by Rodarte who designed for Black Swan.

Teenagers are the most targeted group in fashion industry because they are more style oriented and more conscious of their appearance. They never accept other's opinions. It's no use to give them tip on fashion. They usually find ways by themselves. Denim is all time favorite of teenager, with a bit changes in their tops and jackets make a lot difference in their trendy looks. They are conscious of ever-changing trends and they find themselves what they actually needed to wear as fashion industry has great options for them.

The extension of style is not limited with the garments style line only but also the hair, look, jewelry and shoes. Fashion is for all those bugs who want to look different but in common way. The differentiation is only on basic level.

The realm of fashion design, by its sheer glamour and grace, has always been exciting and intriguing. When we talk of fashion design, it implies a form of art that incorporates the nuances of creating clothes and accessories.

The history of fashion design can be traced back to the beginning of the19th century when the designs were the product of the dresses worn in the royal courts. Eventually, Charles Frederick Worth, the first fashion designer, set up his first fashion house in Paris. His designs greatly influenced the people and they labeled them as the designs of the "House Of Worth." As a result, a designer became synonymous with a particular brand.

Another important designer who made a significant contribution to the evolution of the fashion was Paul Poi Ret. He blended the classical style consisting of aesthetic dressing with Paris fashion. Other important designers of this age were Patou, Vionnet, Fortuny, Lanvin and Chanel.

Throughout the 20th century, Paris remained the world's fashion hub, with countries such as the US and Britain openly aping the French designs. The post World War era saw the emergence of other countries as the centers of fashion and Paris ceased to be the sole influential factor. The rising British fashion industry brought a new range of street fashion focusing mainly on the young consumers.

Later, American designers such as Calvin Klein And Ralph Lauren came to the fore with their sportswear and made it a style statement. Today, fashion designs can be categorized into two main categories. The haute couture is designed for individual customers. The other category is the ready-to-wear collection. While the former is based on certain themes and is more for creating a style statement, the latter is meant for the masses.

The mid-90s saw the emergence of a new breed of designers who redefined traditional concepts. They looked at fashion from a new angle, creating their own new concepts.

Thus, the world of fashion design has witnessed a steady evolution over the years and has been the by-product of the sincere efforts of many of the top designers.
